Outings are just plain fun. They give you a chance to explore and enjoy our mountains with friends who share your interests. In fact, one of the main purposes of our outings is to deepen our appreciation for and support for protecting the Los Angeles-area mountains. Outings vary in difficulty and pace, which means anyone from novices to trail runners can find trips that fit their conditioning.
Most hikes are for people only, but well-behaved dogs are welcome on hikes so designated. And no, you don’t need to be a member of the Sierra Club. Discover the diverse beauty of the Hundred Peaks and see every corner of Southern California in the company of our leaders, members and participants.
If you would like to get more involved, become a Subscriber or a Member, and we will celebrate your Emblems & Accomplishments with you. Follow us on Facebook to share your adventures.
Yourself. Unless otherwise specified, sturdy shoes and outdoor clothing, layers to cope with changing weather, food and water, a first aid kit, a hat, and sunscreen. And don’t forget to bring a sense of wonder, a sense of adventure, a sense of humor… You can also use our HIKE FINDER to plan your next adventure.
Like all organizations, the Sierra Club is sensitive to liability issues arising from our activities. All participants on Sierra Club outings are required to sign a standard liability waiver.
Unless otherwise stated, there is no charge or fee to participate in our outings.
