“One of the many joys of hiking, beyond the activity itself, is setting goals and having the
satisfaction of achieving those goals. The Hundred Peaks Section, the original Southern California
peakbagging group, has been recognizing the accomplishments of its members since 1946 as “emblems”.
These accomplishments are recognized at the annual awards banquet with a certificate and are
recorded publicly on the web site. To report a new emblem achievement, send an email to the membership chair at hundredpeaksmembership@gmail.com Include a peak list documenting the climbs (peakbagger.com is ok) along with the date of completion and the peak that the emblem was completed on. Your emblem will be recorded in the historical record of the Hundred Peaks Section and added to the HPS pages below.
